Many online business owners believe that in order to increase business revenue they must get more traffic to their website or spend more money on marketing and improving web conversion rates. This is the wrong approach though. Why?

People’s believes dictate their actions online. If they have any negative beliefs about your products and your business, they will not buy from you. Why are people so sceptical? Visitors to your website will have acquired their believes from previous experiences when buying online. If some of these experiences have been negative, this will have shaped their attitude towards your website and your products. This means that what you should be doing to grow your business and increase sales is to remove the sceptics’ reasons for not buying what you have to sell.
You need to convince them that you are trustworthy, that you sell great products or services, that you provide more value to them than the price of your products and that you honour any guarantees you give. In other words, you have to create a new belief in your prospects that makes them feel it is worth the risk buying from you.
If you can achieve this, you will make more money from your existing web traffic and increase your business revenue. This in turn will give you a bigger budget to spend on advertising which will increase traffic to your website.
